My Open-Source Extension Is Finally on the Google Chrome Store

I had a need 👉 then found that the tools for it did not meet my expectations 👉 so I made one myself 👉 and used it myself. That is probably the path that brought me here. Needs lead to making things.

I once said that I wanted to have my own extension in the Chrome Store. Now I do.

But lately I have also felt more confused, and more anxious about what I still cannot do.

Clawdbot, now renamed Moltbot, has become very popular recently. I tried it too and found that I could not really figure it out.

It is powerful. And then what?

AI coding is powerful too. And then what?

It feels like an algorithm built me a house. I opened the window and saw everyone vibe coding, everyone making apps and websites, everyone sharing what they made…

A couple of days ago, I made a dynamic website with a database. I wanted to give it to my younger brother, so he could record the blessings people sent him in real time.

But after trying all kinds of things, I could not replace Supabase with an alternative that works in China. Which meant that if I kept using Supabase, people without a workaround would not be able to use it.

I was really frustrated.

It was such a simple thing, but in a different environment I suddenly… could not do anything.

I felt sad for myself. There are still too many things I do not understand.

I need to keep going out, bump into my own limits, and try to solve them.

P.S. I suddenly realised that this idea only takes a tiny bit of technology and creativity. But if it could really be used at every happy gathering, I think it might make the people at the centre of it, and the friends and family there, feel a little warmth. It is a bit like turning handwritten wishes into something digital, while giving everyone instant convenience.

I do not think vibe coding is easy. I also do not think people with no technical knowledge can automatically become good at AI coding, or that everything currently being praised as amazing is right for everyone.

There is a lot of self-entertainment in it… maybe a little too much water. (But there are definitely people who can really understand it and do it well.)

I have always hoped technology can benefit ordinary people, instead of being something only a small group can reach. So I will keep recording more of my explorations and what I learn.

But I will not make a from-zero-to-one tutorial. If anyone wants to talk something through with me, or needs help at a point they do not understand, you can always come talk to me~

Let us all enjoy playing with this in our own way~
