Inspiration Disappears in an Instant
Recorded in Chinese
After a busy stretch at work, the article I had wanted to write no longer flowed the same way. A reminder to capture an idea when it arrives, in writing or by saying it out loud.
00:01 Something really struck me today:
00:03 whenever I get an idea for my writing,
00:09 I need to capture it as soon as possible,
00:13 even if that means recording it by voice.
00:20 A few days ago, I'd already worked out
00:24 how to write my next article.
00:27 I'd even gathered the material.
00:29 But then,
00:31 work became so busy
00:35 that I had almost no time
00:39 to write the article.
00:40 By the time I'd finished all my work
00:43 and I revisited what I wanted to write,
00:47 the inspiration I'd had
00:50 seemed to have flown away.
00:52 I could no longer feel
00:54 the feeling of wanting to write it then.
00:58 Nor could I feel
01:02 that sense of flow.
01:05 I don't know whether other people,
01:07 when they're especially inspired
01:10 and really want to write something,
01:15 have experienced this feeling.
01:18 If they have, they'll know
01:20 that when we feel
01:21 we're about to write an article,
01:27 there's a sense of ease,
01:30 of naturalness,
01:32 something that flows like water.
01:36 But simply because too much time passed,
01:40 all those feelings became diluted.
01:48 Of course,
01:49 I can immerse myself in that material
01:53 and try to recapture the inspiration.
01:56 But no matter what,
01:58 it won't feel the same as it did at first.
