I’m Helia.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked in education and content production, while also building projects of my own. I’ve kept thinking about the relationship between content, technology, and the way people understand things.
This is where I keep the things I’ve written, made, and still haven’t figured out.
I often take things too seriously, even when they may not matter that much.
But I guess that’s just how I live.
How I work
I usually start with a question that makes me curious, try to understand it and organize what I find, then see if I can make something from it.
At my first hackathon, I built LumiStudio independently: moving away from a flawed mock-data approach, reprioritizing within tight time and tool limits, and getting the end-to-end flow working. PodLens starts with podcast content: first working out what it is actually saying, then connecting its insights to the questions I have cared about over time and the things I am working on.
PodLens and Alumbriva each have an outward-facing side and an inward-facing one: a website for readers, and an editorial and publishing workspace for me. I did not want every change or release to depend on finding an agent again, so I also turned editing, previewing, publishing, and deployment into interfaces I can operate myself. That lets me take over the work and keep the content and projects running.
I notice why a space draws someone closer, or why a piece of writing is difficult to enter, then keep opening the observation up: how an entrance is formed, how attention is cared for, and how complex information can become easier to understand.
