1) The instinct to survive depends on intuition, and intuition relates to judgment—whether or not to trust.
2) In the AI era, tolerance for digital dopamine and the ability to focus deeply are very, very important.
3) In modern social systems, whether high intelligence offers an advantage depends on the environment.
4) When the cost of compute, regulations, and foundational technology enter a period of steadier development, AI will become something like electricity.

Dwarkesh Patel has been recruiting researchers lately. He gave candidates four topics and asked them to choose one and write a 1,000-word blog post. I have no idea where I found the outrageous courage, but I actually submitted one. Though for the question about whether I wanted the job, I chose No... I still need at least that much self-awareness hhhhh
