I Wanted Ice Cream but Walked Into the Wrong Shop...

A couple of days ago, I saw a younger schoolmate's Moments post. In the background of the photo was a “mango ice cream crepe”... Mango + ice cream! Seriously! Every part of my taste buds lit up!! So I asked her for the address.

When I went today, the navigation ended before I had even reached the storefront. I walked straight into the first shop on the right. The owner was very welcoming from the moment I entered. After sitting down, I looked at the menu... Wait, why did it seem wrong? Why wasn't that “mango ice cream crepe” on it? I looked left and right... Oh, I had walked into the wrong place. But the environment and atmosphere were pretty nice, so I simply ordered there.

When I ordered a matcha milk drink, I specifically asked the owner whether it would be too bitter, because... the matcha desserts I had in Japan were all so bitter... They used the real thing a little too generously for me. The owner said that if I was afraid of bitterness, he could adjust it for me by adding milk or something like that. When I finally tasted it, it really was good. Btw, the pudding was delicious too. I chose the least bitter one. I would probably find the other versions a little too bitter... Ah, not being able to handle bitter things is genuinely painful. It made me wonder again why some people love a pure iced Americano so much...

After leaving the shop, I took two steps to the right. Ah, there it was. The two shops were right beside each other, literally two steps apart... I went in and had the “mango ice cream crepe.” It was a little sour. Overall, it tasted all right.

It reminded me of an ice cream shop I once visited in Seoul. The owner had appeared on a Korean variety show. On the show he seemed gentle, with a bright smile, and I felt he would be a bright and gentle person in real life too. The ice cream at his shop... had a slightly strange flavor. Both the sour and sweet parts of the mix were very pronounced, and the contrast left an unusually deep impression. Maybe the two flavors I chose clashed too much. Next time I should pick ones that are more similar hhhh
